Cynythog Bach bed and breakfast in Bala was built in the early 1900's and has been in our family for over 4 generations. A comfortable family home offering quality B and B accommodation, we have 2 doubletwin en-suite rooms.Set in the heart of Penllyn, we are ideally located to explore the area with its numerous attractions including Bala Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales which is popular for its varied water sports.Once part of a much larger working farm we now have several acres where our horses graze happily together with Nelly our resident sheep.Our guest rooms have spectacular views of the Aran mountain and surrounding hills. Being located in Snowdonia National Park we are ideally situated for walking, with a selection of routes from leisurely strolls to strenuous mountain walks.We are less than 3 miles from the Arenig mountain featured in the documentary The Mountain that had to be painted about artists Augustus John and James Dickson Innes, who left London in 1911 for the wild Arenig Valley where they painted over 3 years to create a series of visionary landscapesWe welcome dogs at Cynythog Bach and are happy to accommodate your pet, please see our Dog Page for further details.We are also located on an 8 mile cycle route and there are several other cycling and mountain bike routes with local bike hire available in Bala. We can offer storage and washing facilities for bikes.We enjoy welcoming visitors to our home and will do all we can to help you enjoy your stay.

Directions

As you come into Bala take the A4212 signposted Trawsfyndd and Porthmadog, carry on this road and take the first slip road to the left signposted for Rhyduchaf. After going through the small village of Rhyduchaf take the second left signposted Parc. Without crossing any cattle grids we are exactly 1 mile from the junction situated on the right.
